fair day rate for a carpenter in london?

When you google search "day rate carpenter london" it comes up as £11.75 per hour. Is this about right?

And, where do I go about finding a decent one?

Thanks

You really can't compare what you pay acting on behalf of a contractor to what Joe Public will pay. You are undoubtedly getting preferential rates.
