Assessors also twist & spin things, they can contradict themselves in the reports and they can outright lie.
After sending in every scrap of evidence that you can & making sure that you thoroughly explain which part of the descriptor you meet, hope & pray you get a decent assessor that listens to what you actually say instead of what they think you should be saying.
Sorry if I have offended anyone with my assessment of the assessors.
The DWP should be making it compulsory for every assessment to be recorded and filmed.0 -
Although thinking further, the system can't be good for the assessors either. I imagine a physiotherapist hearing detailed descriptions of severe mental illness must find it very difficult, especially if the claimant comes across as threatening. And a mental health professional having to grapple with details about joints or severe bowel problems must struggle similarly.
The system is messed up on all sides.Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.0
