Best but cheap laptop and scanner

Don't know if im posting in the right are, i have a friend (who has a terminal illness) that requires a cheap (or free) laptop and scanner. Is there any charities out there that can provide these ( even if its only a laptop)?

Refurbished Dell site? Google for MCS Technology. They have refurbisheed Inspirons for < £150. Might be better than Freecycle/eBay etc., as the latter come with no guarantees of quality.(Nearly) dunroving0

I had to get a new scanner as my old one is not compatible with Windows 10.
If the laptop he/she gets is not win 10 I would be more than happy to donate my HP scanner for free. Just p.m. me
