I wouldn't recommend getting from Gumtree. Lots of local rescues have them ready for rehoming and they will already have been vet-checked, properly sexed, possibly neutered etc - you get no such assurances when buying off gumtree.

Absolutely not!

Best is to rescue, google to find small animal or guinea pig specific rescues near you.

Second best is a good local breeder who looks after animals well and is happy for you to visit.

Don't buy from pet shops or from gumtree. Thos guinea pigs probably come from rodent farms. I won't put the image on here because its not very nice, but just google it if you want to see why you shouldn't support them.
