Help needed with 'Seller gone away'

I've bought an item from a seller (Another item being sold is 170159404977) and now all the sellers items are showing that they are away. I'm in no rush for the item, I even paid for the item just before the postal strike but...
They are due back on 25th August 2008!!!
I've e-mailed / ebay messaged but no responses as yet. How have any of you gone about a situation like this.

If you paid by PayPal I would go for it and get your money back - there' s no way you should wait 10 months for your item. If you bought after Aug2007
presumably they definitely mean 2008?
Frankly anyone bidding on an item that says that date in the listing must be potty!
But as you bid without that information you should be entitled to your money back so you can buy elsewhere0 -
If you look at the sellers shop you'll see: We are away from the 18th until the 25th August 2007
The seller hasn't turned off their Holiday Settings0 -
Not very encouraging looking at their recent feedback - no feedback left since mid September and nothing received by 2 waiting buyers since then.0

Looks like they've done a Shirley Valentine. Surely it the holiday settings/notice on the item you bought?0

But I was wondering if anyone could advise
How I could put my ebay on "Holiday Mode/Settings" ?
Again Apoligies to jump in, I hope you dont mind me explaining my dilema.....
I have sold a few items (8) during past 2 weeks and after emailing the buyers to thank and advise them that I had posted their items,
(4x items posted 10/10 and 4x items posted 17/10)
I also added in each email, that due to postal strike, it would be great if they could advise me once the item had been recieved-either quick reply to email or feedback, (I wouldnt usually ask.)
So far, I have only heard from 4 buyers that they have been recieved. (2x of the 4 parcels posted 10/10 and 2x items posted 17/10 have been recieved)
1 buyer has informed me that her item has not recieved and 3 have not returned/replyed to emails.
(i know that they may be busy but am hoping if this is the case, they dont get funny with me next week while im away)
I have sent an email to all 4 buyers who i have not heard from (2 days ago) to advise I will be going away this week (2moro) as been ill and spent a day in hospital and i will not have access to computer during week and will reply to all emails as off next monday so they dont think im being ignorant.
I dont know what else i can do??
Any suggestions welcome

If you have a shop, here's where you can find the Holiday Settings
We always leave the listings running & select:
Display holiday message in all of my available listings
Display holiday message near the top of every page in my Shop
Don't forget to turn off the settings when you return0 -
