At the risk of asking a potentially silly question...
are new boilers generally cheaper to have installed during the Summer months?
I'm hoping mine will last a while longer but if it generally makes no difference I may as well look into it now..?
Any thoughts?
Thanks

As above, really. In theory, no it should make no difference whatsoever. In practice, the simple laws of supply and demand may mean that some ( perhaps more unscrupulous ??? ) installers feel they can get away with charging a premium for their time.
But as Penitent says, the more practical problem may simply turn out to be being able to find someone who's available to install it for you - most plumbers / heating engineers ( and certainly the decent ones ) are chock-a-block at this time of year dealing with all sorts of "broken heating" issues.0 -
British Gas certainly offer better prices in the Summer. It is likely that the independents also have more availability in the Summer so are more prepared to offer cheaper deals.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. Domestic you’ll get cheaper prices July, June, Aug also more will be willing to price/quote for works... Something to do with the warmer conditions /waters and sharks through a bit of meat in those months they’ll be gnashing at it :rotfl:0
