Missed deadline

My son incurred a ticket and like all good children didn't bother to say anything, assuming that he could ignore it as it was not from the council (he has incurred plenty of those and paid them).
This was in November 2017, so I have missed any deadline to appeal.
I have today received a red letter from DRP on behalf of Parking Ticketing Ltd giving me until the 16th March to pay £149, I assume I have to pay because of my son's stupidity. They have cited a Supreme Court ruling from November 2015 and threatening court action.
Should I ignore this? Slap my son and pay it? Or slap him anyway and ignore it?:D
Thanks

Just read the NEWBIES FAQ sticky, post #4 before any slapping.Should I ignore this? Slap my son and pay it? Or slap him anyway and ignore it?
PS - I think slapping your child might soon be an offence.
PPS - Before I would think of slapping my son, I'd remind myself that he's 3 inches taller than me (and I'm over 6 feet tall) and its more than likely he'd slap me. :rotfl:Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.
