Hi, I am trying to gather information around claiming stamp duty to decide if I want to sell my new house.
Would you be please confirm if I am able to claim stamp duty in my below scenario?
- I own Home A where I used to live (since June 2010) but bought Home B (on July 2016) and paid higher stamp duty.
- Home B is my Main residence since July 2016 - I made Home A as Buy-To-Let (since July 2016)
- I am now thinking to sell Home B and move to rental property (due to job nature) leaving Home A as buy-to-let.
- I have no further plans to buy any more houses Appreciate if you could please help me.

Unfortunately you cannot reclaim the 3% surcharge by virtue of you selling the new property.0
