Hilton Grand Vacations

Hi all
I was on the phone to Hilton about a reservation when they transferred me through to a sales person who sold me a highly discounted stay in Orlando. For 6 nights, including 7-day Universal passes it was $699 for two. The catch? I have to attend a two-hour timeshare pitch.
The offer is valid for 12 months at a Hilton of my choice and is administered by a company called Hitlon Grand Vacations.
I have no problem saying no to the timeshare but was enquiring as to whether anyone has been on one of these holiday before? I’m a little nervous that the offer seems too good to be true and that I’ve been very stupid and impulsive.

If you do go be prepared for a very high pressure presentation that will probably last a lot longer than 2 hours, Hilton Grand Vacations are very expensive so don't get sucked in and be aware that in the USA I don't think they have a cooling off period as in Europe.0

Thank you for the response.
I’ve got no problem withstanding the sales pitch but just interested if the holiday itself is any good?0 -
We stayed at the Hilton Grand Vacations Club in Las Vegas, close to the Flamingo Hotel. The accommodation was excellent but there were fewer hotel facilities as such. the room had a full kitchen but the 'hotel' had no restaurant or bar but you could walk through the grounds to the Flamingo or indeed dozens of other places to eat. We were very impressed and had no timeshare presentation at all, and no casino to waste your money on either!0

Can anyone advise how to get out of a Hilton Grand Vacations contract? Don’t want to sell, just get out. Researched and HGV insist I go to a broker.0

I would suggest you see a lawyer - assume the fees are excessive?
But it will be difficult to get out of - is there a re-sale value?

Yes, excessive.
Had a few resale “estimates “ from brokers.
Any lawyers out there able to help?

Hi
I would be shocked if there is any re-sale value .... there rarely is ... be wary of anyone suggesting that there is a re-sale value, especially if they ask for money upfront.
I would also be surprised if you can get out of the contract - just speak to a lawyer - get the contract checked over.
