How does Amazon work as a buyer??

I've not really bought from Amazon before but am I right in thinking you get free delivery?

How does this work, I am randomly putting stuff in my basket, does everything have to come from the same seller. For example I have bought some crayons for 0.01p from one seller and 2 toy boxes at £24.99 from another seller (but £5 discount). Will I get postage on each item (and pay postage x 2, one total postage amount whoever I buy from or is it free when spending over a certain amount.

Sorry for asking, I am confused as to how this works and the discount voucher makes it cheaper for buying from the same seller advertising on eBay and the website.

Thanks for any help.

Unfortunately each of the market place sellers is an individual so you will pay the stated post and packing on each item regardless of how many you buy. You can see this total by looking at your total cost in checkout, just make sure you don't have the automatic buying clicky thingy enabled.

I don't know about postage costs for non books, but for books it is a set £2.75 per book.

Thanks Soo, I saw this and I saw some people had problems with marks so I won;t use this feature for anything.

I have had alittle box come up - spend another £6.95 for free supersaver delivery. This would apply to the items from that seller then?

I have also just noticed that it says the postage mightbe mentioned on the items page. Kind of makes sense as the buyer I found on eBay was charging much more than the standard delivery charge on his other selling outlets.

Off to have more of a look now.

    Thank you

If you are being offered free super saver delivery then at least some of your items are coming from Amazon direct as they are the ones who use that as an option, not the marketplace sellers.

I suspect at leaste one of the items you have selected is a direct purchase from amazon hence the message above to be eligible for Free UK delivery on orders over £15 with Super Saver
