  • Alternatively try Bullguard anti -virus in Netto stroes @ £9.99.

Number of reviews on Amazon which suggest it is much simpler and effective than Norton and with much better support/helpline.

Got mine and it works a treat.

    Hi,

having dealt with many AntiVirus programs over many years, there is only one serious contender in my opinion - NOD32 - https://www.nod32uk.com.

It's not free - it's £25 then £15 per year, but it is SERIOUSLY effective.

It uses less memory and is less invasive than Norton, which I ditched a while back.

I'm not affiliated with NOD32 in anyway, I just think it's the best I've ever come across.

Hmmm - I seem to recall having read that Norton 2005 is MUCH less of a resource hog than the 2004 version (which I avoided).

I am running 2005 and currently all norton processes are 0% cpu (but equally my PC isn't doing much). I have not been aware of any resource issues on my now aging PC.

Yes, there are cheaper, even free, but I am more than happy with NAV 2005.

    YMMV, of course.

    Regards,

    White.
