Hello
just trying to help a friend with this. In 2003 they took out a £10,000 loan and repaid it over four years, finishing in 2007. They dont recall who the loan was from BUT it was paid back via direct debit from their Lloyds current account. Lloyds say they cant supply statements that far back - is that likely to be right? Any other way they can find out where this loan was from?
Thanks

If Lloyds say they can't provide 15 year old statements, I'd be inclined to believe them I'm afraid.Lloyds say they cant supply statements that far back
Regardless, even if statements were to reveal who the loan was with they wouldn't provide the account number or, more importantly, provide any evidence that you had PPI
Write to all likely lenders with address details from the time?Any other way they can find out where this loan was from?
Try to remember?
Raid the loft for old documents?
To be brutally frank, with no idea who the loan was with, no account number and no evidence that there was even any PPI your chances of advancing this are slim indeed.
