30 Hours Childcare, how is income assesed?

Hi All,
I've searched quite a bit to try and find the answer to this question but I hope you might be able to help.
Last financial year I lived in London permanently and was able to work overtime and do on-call shifts at work, this has led me to just eek over the 100k threshold for 30 hours childcare for this financial year. Next year I will be below threshold as I can no longer work overtime or Oncall due to a change in circumstances. I will also have more personal expenses due to travel. Our son turns 3 next week.
As we will be (well) below the income threshold for next financial year, will eligibility start in the spring term or does last year's income disqualify us? How is the income assessed?
Thanks

Best for you to phone Government helpline and get it from horses mouth so to speak. The comments I post are personal opinion. Always refer to official information sources before relying on internet forums. If you have a problem with any organisation, enter into their official complaints process at the earliest opportunity, as sometimes complaints have to be started within a certain time frame.0
