Free Boiler Grant

My area has recently had universal credit rolled out. I used to get tax credits but since moving get contribution based Job Seeker's allowance. From what I have read this means that I now won't qualify for a free boiler.
Does anyone know how closely the companies that provide the free boilers check? I'm not going to lie but it did occur to me that they may not spot the difference.

It's not a question of how closely they check. When you apply for a free boiler you provide proof of your benefits which allow qualification.
