National Lottery - Delays in paying out?
Comments

The retailer agreement requires stores to pay out prizes up to £100. Except at "till terminals" (Tesco and WH Smith only, AFAIK) which are £50. Maybe they didn't have cash, but should ideally plan for these circumstances.
It's worth noting that some Post Office counters can also pay National Lottery prizes, up to £50,000.
Oddly, my local "main" Post Office in WH Smith doesn't offer this, yet a smaller office with just a single till at a smaller store does offer the service.0 -
Perhaps you should complain to Camelot then, as https://www.national-lottery.co.uk/games/lotto is titled 'Play Lotto' and includes copious references to playing, including 'how to play' links, '£2 per play' and the caveat about 'players must be 16 or over...', etc, etc!Malthusian wrote: »You play football or chess or Call of Duty, you gamble on the Lottery. Handing someone £2 and then sitting on the sofa while someone else spins a wheel is not "play".

A complaint to the ASA in green ink is in the post

The fact that a gambling company uses inaccurate wordage in its advertising doesn't mean the rest of us have to.0 -
Anything over £500 gets claimed via National Lottery Head Quarters.
Where does this information come from? I've had a much bigger winner than that and never been near National Lottery Head Quarters (sic), although it was a few years ago.
Just looked it up and your statement is so wrong.

I've never had this problem...perhaps try playing online, or use the app, and the issue shouldn't be there and you'll have a record of your transaction...0
