Last rent payment

Fifth Anniversary Combo Breaker
in House buying, renting & selling
I am currently on a 12 month AST which is due to end in August. We are currently looking for a house to buy but I am just wondering when would our last rent payment be should we move out at the end of the tenancy, would it be in July or August?

    I had same question couple of days ago.
    Check your lease to make sure.
    In our case the end is 30 of April.
    We are paying every 29th so the last payment will be on 29th of March if we give notice before 28th ot March.

    Typically it's in advance, so would be July, for july-august.

    You don't need to give 'correct' notice if you are leaving at end of fixed term.
