Renting with bad credit

I am currently living with my best friend in his spare bedroom but, he doesnt want me to stay longer than six months. I have been here for two and half months. I have started saving up for deposit to move. However, I am have a problem that I have a really bad credit score and I am on benefits. (I am disabled)
How can I approach this?

I am concerned if I go to the council they will decide I am intentially homeless. I had to move out of my previous property because my children were taken in to perment foster care and I couldnt afford the rent. My income was £558 and my rent was £550 (They werent taken in to foster care because of that) I could afford it when I had my children but, I was hammered by the bedroom tax.No Spend November 2/15 and SPC 1340
