From memory, all figures are circa, the last official stats I saw suggested UK population is 67M, 41M of whom are of working age (aged 16-64) and 32M are employed... the 9M or so who are not are classed as economically inactive. It suits governments of all colours to have a very narrow definition of unemployment in order to manipulate figures.0
