Easyjet new children car seat allowance

I’ve just realised that Easyjet free car seat allowance has changed. It hasn’t been discussed on any forums.

You can still take up to two items Free per under 5 years old. I am sure it was for children based on their categorisation from 2 to 12 years old.

Can anyone help?

I saw this too !!!128555;.... seems ridiculous as most 6+ year olds still need car seats. Interested to know whether anyone has had any first hand experience of this.

It was apparently in place in November 2017. I flew in December but my younger child is only 4 on our next trip he will be 5. I am worried as there is conflicting information on easyjet website.

They caught us out with an extra bag fee so I complained and got a refund relatively quickly.

I've emailed easyjet asking if i can take booster seats in the hold for my 5 and 6 year olds. This is their response:

Thank you for contacting easyJet.

In response to your query, there is no age limit on bringing these two free items along so you will not be charged for putting the booster seats in the hold.
