CHAT THREAD for free listing alerts

As the alert thread is a no chat thread I thought it would be useful to have a new thread solely to discuss offers as and when they arrive, it also means I can move chat posts from there to this thread without upsetting the flow of the discussion.

Firstly the other thread (strictly no chat please) is here:

https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/3824175

You can opt in to receive reminders when that thread is updated.

Please fee l free to chat about the offers or ask questions on here.

Thank you

I know that private sellers are now inundated with free listings, thousands a month in most cases but every now and then there are ones with unusual terms and conditions, so please always read the t and cs before you list to make sure you are eligible.

Currently (and thanks to Brynsam and jeffuk) there is an unusual one see here:

*Fee per listing. Applies on up to 100 listings. No final value fees apply. Private sellers only. Accepting this offer will override other offers.
Once the offer is accepted, other selling promotions that offer free insertion fees will not apply during the promotional period.
Be careful before accepting this one.

So many people are going to get caught out by this one. I think they've done it on purpose. Why would they have such a similar offer to the usual max £1 FVF offers and for 100 listings if they did it for 5 or 10 listings people would look at it more closely and possibly have a few items that are sure to sell that might make the offer worthwhile but really this offer is only good for ebay!

I accepted that rubbish £1 listing fee, zero FVF one, thinking it was the £1 FVF one.

Now I can't list anything until it expires from my account.

I suspect that will catch a lot of people out.

It really does pay to read the t and cs of all these offers, some have things hidden away that change the game entirely!
