Question: Amazon Prime Student free trial

Hi All
I have belatedly discovered that I can get six months of Prime for free because I have a .ac.uk e-mail address. The thing is, I might not still have it in September because I won't be a student in the next academic year (I don't know when the Uni cuts off your access to the student e-mail).
Will anybody who's done this trial help me out please by sharing their experiences?
Did you need to sign up for a new Amazon account using the student e-mail address in order to get the trial, or was the student e-mail only used to confirm your status as part of the application? (I already have an Amazon account registered to my normal e-mail address.)
Do you still need to be able to access the student e-mail address to cancel Prime when the six months is up? I don't want to be in a situation where I can't stop having to pay for it!
Thanks for reading.

I don't know the answer to your question as I've never heard of Amazon prime Student, but are you sure that your university will cut off your email address? The uni where I work allows alumni to keep their .ac.uk address indefinitely.0

I have amazon student and never had anything sent to my ac email, so think it is just a checking process to see it is legitimate at time of application.0

I have been very remiss in looking in to student-style freebies and extras, and need to rectify this asap.0 -
Have you signed up for the NUS Extras card, valid for 2 years and good savings0

I have it and I had to re-sign up as for some reason it didn!!!8217;t like my normal account one. I do have emails sent to my ac.uk address but only because I used that to sign up with.
Also sign up to UNiDAYS, some pretty useful discounts on there!*The RK and FF fan club* #Family*Don’t Be Bitter- Glitter!* #LotsOfLove ‘Darling you’re my blood, you have my heartbeat’ Dad 20.02.200
