INAD case abandoned-when wil paypal release funds?

A buyer asked to return an item because it didn't fit. The size stated was the size marked on the item but an 'item not as described' case was opened where the buyer said it was a lot smaller than stated. I know I should probably accept the return to keep the buyer happy but I politely pointed out to the buyer my listing states no returns.
I have had no more contact from them and it's been almost a month so I think they have accepted this although the case is still open and the money is 'on hold' in my paypal account.
Does anyone know how long it will take for the case to end if the buyer takes it no further and when the money will become available to me?

If it has gone beyond the deadline (you will see the date in the first email regarding the case) you can ask eBay to close it in your favour. This should release the funds although it doesn't always and you may need to follow it up with PayPal once the case has been closed by eBay.0

No returns is rather pointless on ebay, if the seller really wants to return it they will at your cost.
My opinion of a seller that states not returns = your going to be a PITA to deal with and bid accordingly.
Have you supplied them the returns label?Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -

Trouble is with an INAD ebay are more likely to find for the buyer if escalated.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. If you are a private seller with "no returns" and the period has gone over 30 days, you will get it closed in your favour though.
Soolin, I think the buyer has opened a return, not a SNAD, so there won't be an issue with closing this off.
That's not to say the buyer won't open a SNAD through Paypal....0 -

The Op says ' but an 'item not as described' case was opened where the buyer said it was a lot smaller than stated' . However that doesn't mean OP wasn't mistaken in what they thought the case was for.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Reading it again I can see it may be a SNAD or a return. Hopefully the OP will update and will get the desired outcome....0
