The clearing of leaves, litter and other debris is (I've found) quite cathartic :o
I did our patio a few weeks back and it is still satisfying to see it.

Sophiesmum has a mantra in her daily "small things" post of Reduce, Reuse, Recycle ~ I believe it is a recycled Sainsburys mantra :o but I too now follow it and try and reduce or recycle something each day.
And the declutter thread on the OS board has similar instructions - you list things in and out of your home each day. And the out list should be longer!

Hi Olive, I was just posting on your thread - I really feel I'm starting to get on top of the situation here, cleaning/decluttering - for me, its all about getting ready to move. No idea where I'm going, but its going to take quite a while to get ready, so thats okay for now.

I posted on the decluttering thread twice today! I love that thread, I really do.

Reduce-reuse-recycle - I think Sainsbury's nicked it from the green movement :o not sure tbh, but I take it as my mantra, certainly, its such a good feeling, you're right.

  • Hello KC

Sorry is it just chocolate you need to avoid because a gorgeous DFW treat is the homemade hobknob. Easy to make and very scrummy Im sure youve probably seen it about on here.

Well done on decluttering - still loads to do here but that can wait till the weekend.

  • I think i have gone into overdrive on the decluttering bit..this is what happens when i get some sleep, i get energy and then go mad around the house. Still we all have clean clothes now, so that is a good thing and very little washing left, two cupboards cleared and the shed cleaned out in preparation for sewing of seeds.
I think i need to work!

I think they did nick it - I'm sure I had a book with that title back in the late 90s when I was a hippy-ish greenie teenager :D

Seems like there's lots of "spring cleaning" going on all round - tis good... :T

    :wave:Hello!

KP - hiya, I need to avoid wheat as well . And cow's milk :eek: This combination makes life very difficult for a vegetarian

Bob, doesn't the decluttering get under your skin, its brill, but it does tire me out *eventually*. Collapsed into a lovely bath after showering off the actual debris from the garage, it was gorgeous.

Hey there Red - glad your memory is more or less the same as mine, but boo sucks to being a teenager in the 90s :eek: :rotfl: I'll just have to get over it.

Been up to St Albans today, on this seminar - it was interesting, but when I didn't buy the £3,500 training course, I felt more or less dropped like a hot brick. And whereas they offered me a lift from the train to the seminar, they didn't offer me one back! Another person who turned them down had the same sort of experience - horrendous.

Anyway, I'm off to my mum's tomorrow, counting travelling I'm away for 5 days, will hopefully get to see Samuel Sean, who's now 6 months old, more or less. I've never, ever been so badly prepared for a trip away, not even last Christmas - mind you, I had this seminar, and I worked two days this week.... ah well.

So, I hope everybody stays well, gets more debt free, takes care, kisses a loved one, all of that. See you next week.

  • Um being all boring here - KK by the way enjoy the trip away - will miss you (not as trite as it sounds I really will)

The reduce reuse recyle (and reclaim) bit is the 4 r's of waste management

Doh - I did sustainable development at college - no really it was interesting please don't yawn.

Sainsbury's are very naughty - the 3 r's are mostly quoted these days

Lol how to lower a tone or what - sorry chaps - hope you are all fine and dandy.

Our life this week very up and down - the joys - enjoy the break KK xx
Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.
