JSA = payment made to you at c. £73 a week (paid fortnightly) in return for you spending 35hrs a week searching for and applying for work. aka "signing on".

Universal Credit = monthly payment of various benefits (7 IIRC) in one lump sum, so things like Housing Benefit, JSA, Income Support, that sort of stuff as opposed to multiple payments for multiple benefits.

Do you claim JSA currently ?

Unless you have any change of circumstances, you don't need to change to UC until DWP migrate you across.

Remember that UC is a benefit that supports people who are not working or who are working but not earning enough.
The comments I post are personal opinion. Always refer to official information sources before relying on internet forums. If you have a problem with any organisation, enter into their official complaints process at the earliest opportunity, as sometimes complaints have to be started within a certain time frame.
