Utilita - help with switching away
Hi I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with switching away from utilita. I have a prepayment smart meter for both gas and electricity, I would ideally like to move to a credit meter (when I did a comparison on the EDF site my meter showed up as a credit meter)
Can I just do a switch, and enter my details as a credit meter?
I’m confused with all this, I wish I just didn’t have a smart meter installed

Yes you can. I personally know a few people who have done this.0

Did they just enter details as a credit meter or contact utilita first, thanks for your reply0

You are on the National Database as having a credit meter. Do it online, do not phone - it is easier, trust me (in this situation). If you do it over the phone, they sometimes ask you what tariff you are on with your old supplier, when they enter this, it will show as prepay. If you do it online, it will get around this.0

Thank you, I’ll do that then0
