ESA Support Group?

Hi,

My daughter won her tribunal and was told that she would be put back into the support group.

She has received all the back pay she was owed and received a letter to say that her allowance would be £109.65 up to 12th April and then it will go up to £110.75 from the 13th April 2018. The thing that confuses me most is that within the letter is says "You have been placed in the Work Related Activity Group."

As her first payment was £219.30 (£109.65 a week) should a letter been sent to them to change this error?

Thanks for your help in advance.

The payment is correct for the Support Group. I'm guessing she has a partner and isn't entitled to and Income Related top up? That amount tells me it's Contribution Based.

    She'll need to ring DWP.
  • I'd contact DWP straight away.

Have the Tribunal Service Decision Notice to hand when she rings the DWP.

Has she been invited to any WRAG activities?

Why isn't she getting the enhanced disability premium of c.£15pw?
Is she getting CB ESA or IB ESA?

Her tribunal was on the 9th February 2018, she has received her back pay from 24th March 2017 and her first payment was received on the 1st March 2018. Would it be saying that she's in WRAG because her year would finish on the 22nd March 2018?

There is no time limit for contribution based ESA in the Support Group.

The money they are paying is the amount for the Support Group.

    You need to ring them.

What does the decision letter say about which group she is in - have you checked?

There is a mistake either in the group awarded or the amount she is being paid.

That doesn't make any sense. You have told us "My daughter won her tribunal and was told that she would be put back into the support group".

What does the TS decision notice say?

No-one on this forum can answer your question - She needs to contact the DWP for clarification,

What are the answers to my questions @ post 4?
