Manhole cover on driveway

Hi,
Our house has a manhole cover on our driveway. I am wanting to get the driveway done, either repaved, tarmac or just digging up the slabs and putting stones down.
I have tried to look online about what I can do with it such as cover it over but wondered if im allowed to do this or not.
Anyone got any experience with this or know what I can/cannot do?
Thanks
Jack

Whichever new surface you choose, the manhole can be built up to the new level.0

What!!!8217;s the manhole for storm or foul water?
Where are you on the run? It maybe yours, it maybe the water boards responsibility.
Either way it!!!8217;s not a wise move to cover it.0 -
You can get recessed manhole covers, such as this one:

Be careful and wary with recessed manhole covers. Many are made from pressed steel and have little strength. Buckling and distortion are part of the parcel with having many of these. Further, if it is an Adopted manhole then the cover should be to an Adoptable standard. Many pressed metal covers are woefully inadequate here.0

The preferred term is 'inspection chamber cover'0

If the op preferred that he wouldn’t have called it a manhole.0 -

Has apostrophe’s been fixed yet?0 -
We had our drive done in block paving, the contractor purchased a new manhole cover that had a hollow top that he filled with blocks so it blends in with the drive but can be opened if required, looks good.0

#metoo what? Are you misappropriating the hashtag to try and draw a comparison between the name of a piece of metal and sexual assault and harassment in the workplace? That is far, far more ridiculous than the original innocuous mis-description by a layperson.
An inspection chamber is probably the correct term because it is unlikely to fit a person down it at all. On a driveway it is likely to be shallow, merely for inspection. A manhole is traditionally a large brick built hole with steps down for a person to enter a sewer.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.
