                    Hi everyone,
My partner and I are currently looking to buy a house and I have seen one online that I am keen on, but adjacent to the kitchen is a small room currently used as a bedroom, with a cloakroom, but on the listing it states that neither building has Building Regulations:
Actual quote from online listing - ""study & WC off (neither of these two rooms have Building Regulations for conversion from out their original use as outhouses),""
Sorry if I'm being dim but what does this actually mean? Does it mean the building is illegal? Will it cost us a lot to get Building Regulations retrospectively (can you even do this?).
If we did want to go ahead with the purchase of the house, would this flag up to the solicitor/surveyor etc?
Thank you
