First National Bank PPI

Could anyone help me with a PPI query.
My elderly father took out a number of secured loans with First National back in the mid 1990's.
He has found paperwork for 2 of these loans and both had PPI attached, they were joint loans with my mother who did not work at the time.
Due to the long period of time that has passed since he took the loans out is it still possible to make a claim against First National.
I am also struggling to find an address to write to them at, some forums are saying Santander but I'm sure Santander had no part in the sale of this back in the 1990's.
Can anyone point me in the right direction.
Thank you

The fact that your mother did not work is irrelevant since only the lead name on the joint loan would have been covered by the PPI. This is therefore not a reason for complaint.
Of course Santander will not have had any part in the sale, but that is still who you should write to in the first instance nowadays to complain about PPI With First National

Santander may then refer your complaint to GE Money or Pinnacle Insurance.
What will your complaint be?
EDIT:
I'm surprised you are struggling with this since, in 2010, you claimed you were a mortgage broker yourself:

Thanks for your help.
I don't have a complaint. I'm just trying to help my father to find out who to write to.
Thanks though0 -

He says that at the time he was told he had to have it and it would improve his chances of being accepted for the loan. It was single premium and front loaded to the loan.
I don't know anything about what exactly was said to him at the time but he has just happened across the paperwork whilst having a clear out and has seen it on Martin Lewis show about PPI so wanted to investigate.
Do you think that's fair?0 -

I have had the odd subject access enquiry (mainly instigated by claims management companies) but never had to defend a claim as I have never sold PPI.
I have sold ASU payable monthly to protect the mortgage.
I know where you are coming from, I don't like the claims culture at all which is why I've always steered clear from encouraging people to claim just because they might have PPI.
In my dad's case he was very naive and I find it believable that he would do whatever he was told in order to secure the loan.
Thanks again for your help.0 -
