Is there anything I can do ? (Packaged account)

Hi,

Any advice here would be greatly appreciated. In late 2015 I complained to Lloyds that my packaged account was missold they declined my case saying I brought petrol once in 2006 therefore needed breakdown cover....(despite not owning a car!) They said they would send a final response so I can go to the FOS. fast forward to Nov after ringing the bank EVERY SINGLE MONTH for this letter it never arrived.

I contacted the FOS who initially said I needed this letter I explained the situation so they took on the complaint. Today I noticed an email stating they are ruling in favor of Lloyds stating its outside 6mts from the final date of the complaint.

They attached a copy of my final response letter which I notice has the wrong address on its for 25 my house no is 35 which is also on my account so dont know how they have this down wrong. As the address was wrong I could never recieve my letter so couldnt respond in time im pretty annoyed with Lloyds the amount of times I checked this while enquiring why I hadnt recieved this letter ive wasted hours ringing them for this too.

I would go back to the FOS to explain that the reason you didn't get the deadlock letter was because of an error by Lloyds.

And as an aside I can't understand their reasoning for saying that because you bought petrol you therefore needed breakdown cover; even if you did have a car they weren't to know whether you already had breakdown cover purchased elsewhere.

Have emailed the FOS with a screen shot of my address from my online banking hopefully they consider that. In my view the banks reason for declining my conplaint is ridiculous, when I spoke to the guy at lloyds regarding my complaint he said he had to review my complaint 3 hours later he rung being all friendly asking general questions then at the end he went all Columbo on me and actually said just one more thing like he was revealing his ace and asked me to explain if I didnt drive why did I buy petrol in 2006 so for 3 hours he must have been going through all my statements, I was so taken aback and confused by this I didnt have an answer I still dont remember buying petrol. He was a jumped up little so and so very obnoxious hes obviously the one who got my address wrong too aswell.
