Dfs sofa cusions issue

Hi. I bought a sofa on finance from DFS about 8 mths ago. The cusions on the lounger part has lost all its firmness. Eventually someone from DFS have come out and to us stated that this issue was always going to happen and we should have been told by the salesmen. He advised us to get it re stuffed by a local company at a cost to us and to hang on til nearer the end of our warrenty (2yrs) to complain and get a new one! I have disagreed with this and re phoned the store to be told all he has marked the job off with is....normal softening of filling! I am awaiting a call back from the manager to hopefully peruse and sort however so far have been fobbed off by DFS. What rights have I got?

Depends on the suite you have, if you have a fibre filled cushion then these do soften naturally over time (everything does but these go much quicker) think of them like the pillow you rest your head on.
The sales person should have given care advice which is basically to beat the living daylights out of it at night to re-fluff them.
If it is after the first 6 months then the onus is on you to prove the item is inherently faulty, to do this you would need to get an independent report (someone like Homeserve does them I think) if the independent report rules in your favour DFS must refund, repair or replace the sofa (their choice) and refund the cost of the report.0
