PPI company claim banks underpaid PPI

I was contacted by a PPI claims company today stating that most PPI payments made previously by banks/ credit cards were underpayments.
I claimed back my PPI myself, is this true? If so how do I go about checking if this was the case with my repayments and is there a template I could use?

Thank you

The cold callers from the CMCs are under high pressure to keep their job and earn their commissions. Getting you signed up, even if it serves no purpose, gets them to keep their job. It is highly ironic that they put in complaints against the banks for using the same tactics and high pressure sales on their own staff and customers.

Also, for some of these people they sign up, they will get their company attached to the automatic plevin redress despite not doing a thing.

If a bank underpaid you, then you will automatically be contacted by the bank. They are required to do this. If a CMC gets involved, the CMC will take a cut of that automatic payment despite doing nothing.

  • Thank you Dunstonh. I had a feeling this was the case but just thought I'd check
