Paypal payment to wrong account (bit of a weird 1)

A bit of a strange situation here.

I am currently on a Token Payment Plan, and so I can no longer do anything with my old business account. It's sitting there in it's overdraft with my TTP payment going into it each month.

Since then, I've set up a new business account.

I had a client pay me (work) into my paypal business account.

I have, stupidly, transferred those funds into my old bank account. Now, my finances are VERY tight this month & he actually needs a refund.

I can't do anything with the old account that the funds have been transferred into.

Is there anything I can do to get this payment reversed? Will Barclays do anything with this?

    What did Barclays say when you asked them?
  • So far - the guy said login my banking and transfer it back, which I can't do. He then said to call the direct line, from my app - which I can't do as I can't use the app any more.

    He gave me some regional number to try in the morning.

    Fingers crossed.

    If you’re on an arrangement to pay don’t you have a number for the department dealing with it, presumably collections?
