Pcn - cps (midlands)

I have received a PCN by CPS (MIDLANDS) for 'Unauthorised Parking'.
I had been visiting a friend for 2 days and parked in a gated community on which my friend lived in. I parked in a bay which was empty as I was told by my friend his neighbour was away on holiday. Do I have any grounds to appeal. Any help would be much appreciated.

depends on what their lease says

if you are not paying it, then you read post #2 of the NEWBIES sticky thread and appeal with the template letter

this is unlikely to get it cancelled, so you are ebst to check with the leaseholder on the grounds of what a visitor is allowed to do when parking (or not allowed to do)

ie:- blame the leaseholder and get their help

    Yes, many, possibly.
Any help would be much appreciated.
All in great detail in the NEWBIES FAQ sticky, post #1, for the first stage of the process.

There is no silver bullet, no fairy dust to sprinkle over it, it needs work from you to understand the issue, start the process off using advice from the sticky, then checking back with us as you progress through.

The sticky is not a skim read. As nosferatu1001 posted earlier - 'read, read, read!'

The more you understand this scam (Hansard 02/02/18), the better you will deal with it.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Small company run by Alain Hutton. His previous company, Car Park Solutions Ltd, was dissolved in 2010. Runs a self-ticketing scheme. So if you get a ticket on your car complain to the site's management and get them to get it cancelled.
