UKPC - Parking Ticket on a Sunday Afternoon

Hi there,
New here. Read the Newbies thread and the FAQ and went through some posts, but struggling to wrap my head around it and wondering if anyone can help if I'm honest?
I've got a Parking ticket on my car from UKPC. I parked on a private road on a double yellow. Something seemed off, especially their basic website when I tried paid for it and I wanted to know where I stand legally - whether I have to pay or not.
Can anyone help?

In the NEWBIES thread I write: 'appeal on day 26, as keeper, and submit this template appeal'.
Umkomaas has kindly typed exactly the same advice above. No need for a thread at this stage.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

You also need to edit your post to remove information about who parked. Only ever refer to The Driver and The Keeper, who are two different people.
