Security Questions

Today I got a call from someone purporting to be NS&I wanting additional security questions, ie not the ones I use to log onto my account, but ones like in January 2010 you opened a bank account with either a, b, c or none of the above.
Now I don't about you guys, but who remembers what year they opened an account. This is particularly difficult if you have had accounts with those banks, or have two or had one, but no longer have.
I asked her in order to prove that you are NS&I before I answer your security questions, what recent transactions have I made on my account. She refused to answer because I had not answered hers.
Seriously, I know there are questions to be asked, but all of hers related to in xxx month, yyy year, did you open an account with a, b, c or none.
In short, do you mind waiting a few days while I find out the answer?
Of course, the !!!! take is that I am sure she only rang because I was making a withdrawal to A NOMINATED ACCOUNT in MY OWN NAME. I'd asked for something else to be rolled over last month and that incurred no security questions or dumb phone calls.
I'm happy to go through to security, but let's keep questions sensible.
