Thank you, thank you, thank you

Back in November i had a day out with my mother at Coventry Airport Retail Park. We spent a while in curry's, dunelm (where we also had lunch), b&m and Aldi. In February i received a PCN stating that i had overstayed my welcome in the car par - cue panic mode - i hadn't even realised there WAS a limit!

Fuming was an understatement - i'd been there the whole time, it wasn't as if i'd parked up then gone elsewhere. The other thing that annoyed me was the length of time it took them to issue the notice (probably hoping you wouldn't remember any details!) and the fact that they send it second class so by the time you receive it, the number of days you have to respond has already reduced. After i'd calmed down and used every swear word in my vocabulary (and some made up ones!) i tootled over to the Forum to have a search for help and advice.

After a read around it was clear that if they couldn't prove who was driving they couldn't pursue a claim. And a brucey bonus was finding that a template had been created to challenge the charge.

Of to the money grabbers website, a hairy moment on the front screen where there is now a tick box asking you to confirm whether you were the driver (this isn't mentioned on the forum), ticked the NO box and on i went to the claim page. Entered all the details and copy and pasted the template in. Then hit the send button and waited........and waited.....and waited (unsurprisingly they have a back long of claims at the moment!)

Finally 13 days letter i received an email from them. I have to say it was opened with trepidation as it's the first time i've ever had to challenge something like this, but.....RESULT!! there was a lot of fist pumping and jubilation to read the following line - Further to your representations, we have investigated your claims and can confirm that your Notice has subsequently been cancelled in full and no further action will be taken -

Thank you MoneySavingExpert and all those that take the time to fight the fight for the little people, i wouldn't have know how to challenge it or that i could even challenge it without you.
