Which day to end auction?

Hey, I saw on another thread that people seem to sell more if the auction ends on a sunday. How many of you does this work for?
Id never really thought about it until recently, and thought that 10 day auctions spanned over 2 weekends was a good idea seeing as lots of people shop on a saturday?
any words of wisdom appreciated
Oh and atm im selling secend hand branded clubwear of mine, brand new clubbing shrugs I make myself and materials for hair falls/pieces

10 days is an awful long time.
It's all horses for courses really but Sundays are supposed to be the better days. Of course if every seller decided to end on a Sunday then it would become the worst day to sell.
If I was selling something interesting then I would search past listings and see how prices look on certain days and at certain times. But of course that goes for nought if 2 or 3 end up in the same hour and day.
If you are selling a common item then I would probably do it for 1-3 days no point doing it for any longer if there are hundreds listed.
For a fast sale on common items check past prices and stick it on at a BIN of high middle price others have received.
Hope that helps0 -
theres not quite hundreds listed! No where near that in fact!
Yeah i think ill change to 5 days maybe or 3 and keep it over the weekend. ThanksSTUDENT SAVING CLUB MEMBER 32(3rd yr Joint Contour Fashion @ DMU)Overdraft £75/£1500Junk sold on ebay so far + BANKED= £50Savings from odd jobs BANKED = £25Change from tin BANKED = £0:rotfl:0 -

Every product has a different "best" day/time to end.
While there are general sweeping rules that can be applied, at the end of the day you should test and continually retest and measure your market.
Over time, 1-2 years, you should really get to know which times/days are best for your products so always do it "right"... but even so the testing/measuring should never stop.0
