Yes. Is that all the wording?

Just says the Claimant must pay the fee by 16th, first, as far as I can see. So you could ring the court to ask on 17th, has it been paid and will Directions now be sent out as regards witness statements?

Yeah that's all I got. Glad I'm not going mad! I agree that I should call on the 17th but I'll start getting together the WS before that so I don't get any nasty surprises

Great news (I think).

Over the weekend I received a letter of discontinuance and form N279 from CEL. The payment deadline was yesterday so I thought I'd double check with the court.

They're 15 days in arrears on paperwork so couldn't confirm the discontinuance (might still be a dirty trick but it's a pretty nasty one if it is) but there's no record of payment

Chalk one up for the good guys! Thanks to all for your help and advice. Such an amazing community on here, fighting for justice.

These are the exact words used, so you should quote them to your MP in a complaint and ask him/her to contact Sir Greg Knight MP if he wants further information about this scam.
