  • Yes, there are cheaper options than world selection. Is a 1% all in fee horrendous- not really. If it!!!8217;s the simple link up of having your back account and ISA together; it!!!8217;s an option. Depends ultimately on how you value your time and the amount invested; how much you!!!8217;re willing to pay for convenience.

If it!!!8217;s purely cost- Global strategies is extremely cheap with someone like cavendish and their incidental costs are far lower than that of Vanguard; whether that!!!8217;s relevant or not taking into account their different strategies is up to how the individual wants to invest.

If you don't think the significantly higher cost is a problem then so be it. The convenience that you talk about is the difference between logging in to one site as opposed to two. You have to be pretty lazy for that to be such an issue that you are prepared to pay over the odds for it.

The fees costs that are being reported are very questionable. I'm not going to comment any further on them because I take them with a massive pinch of salt. All I will say is that VLS on Vanguard Investor is only a couple of hundredths of a per cent different from Global Strategy on Cavendish. However, the cost is should not be the primary means by which you decide on an investment.
