Is it pricey to remove asbestos on flat flooring?

I am hearing noise from below resident in my recently purchased flat and contacted soundproofing companies about installing material on the flooring to quieten the noise. As the property had asbestos in the form of vinyl tiles in the flooring, the soundproofing material would have to be placed on top of the laminate flooring currently in place (the asbestos is not harmful if left undisturbed).
However, some soundproofing companies claim I would need to have an asbestos removal specialist in to remove the tiles before any work could go ahead. They feel Installing a system on top of the laminate is not something they would really recommend as it would raise the floor height significantly (around 25 - 35mm) and would not be as effective as removing the floorboards and installing their material that way.
I am looking at costs of £3,000 to £4,000 to install soundproofing. How much more would it cost (roughly) to have the tiles removed? Would there be any other steps I would need to take in order to make this happen? It's turning out to be a pricey purchase.

Again.... don't you have a thread referring to this?
It will depend on the size of the space that needs removing.
Many work to a schedule of rates. Your best bet is to get quotes as it will vary0 -
Previously got quotes in the last 12 months for removals where I am for £23per sqm0
