Hi everyone,
I was hoping that someone may be able to help me. I have recently had to cancel my holiday as my daughter was diagnosed with a serious illness. I have submitted all relevant documentation (incl medical form) and have just heard back from the insurers today.
They have asked me why it took me so long to take out my insurance (December 2017), when I had booked the holiday itself back in May 2017.I had put May 2017 down as this was when the first aspect of the holiday was booked (the flight). But in actual fact, all aspects of the holiday (excursions, transfers etc) were not all booked until end of November 2017. So I could say in response that I was waiting until all aspects of the holiday were booked before I bought insurance. Would that be a satisfactory answer in your opinion? I'm just worried that what they are asking is a bit of a trick question...!
Many thanks in advance!

You should be honest and say why you didn't take insurance out until December, when the actual holiday was booked in May (so you knew you would have been going on the holiday).0
