Hello,
I recently purchased a camera lens on the 13th of February. It was delivered on the 14th and I realised after delivery and before using it that I should have considered a different lens and phoned the store to get a returns rma number which I got on the 17th of February . My question is have I been too slow at posting the item back as it is now the 27th

Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations, you have the right to cancel your order up to 14 days from the day you receive your goods.
You could notify the retailer of your wish to cancel your order by emailing them, for example.
You then have a further 14 days from the date you notify the retailer of your cancellation to return the goods.
Many online retailers extend this even further, so be sure to read the terms and conditions carefully as you may have longer to return unwanted items.
I would guess you need to speak to them today or tomorrow at the very latest.Dwy galon, un dyhead,

I agree he must act with haste though...0 -
Hi,
If i post tomorrow will this be early enough as the royal mail site is currently not working. It is letting me get to the bit where I choose which service and then displaying "Service unavailable
Click & Drop is temporarily unavailable. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause you and thank you for your patience."0 -

Tomorrow will be fine.
You have up to 14 days from the 17th Feb to send the item so provided you do it on or before Saturday 3rd March, you are within the time allowed.0 -

What has 'inclement weather' got to do with it?
The consumer only has to send the goods within 14 days. They do not have to be received by the seller in that timescale.
See paragraph (4) of Regulation 35 of The CCRs.
If the OP can get to the Post Office tomorrow, that'll be fine.0 -
