Ooh, very pleased you found your candle! Where was it?! (Might give the rest of us some ideas next time we lose something 😂)4

I've put up a photo of my door wreath because it's a proper money-saving jobber. Metal inner ring saved from a previous bought one, which I dismantled. Greenery from garden - holly, ivy, fir tree & bay. Fir cones foraged from past walks. Silver fir cones & baubles from the pound shop years ago. Silver ribbon leftover from something, so shopped from home, ditto wire from shed. In past years, I've also used rosemary as it smells nice & is evergreen. If you've bought one this year & it has a metal ring as it's base, consider extracting this at the end of the festive season & making one next year. I think stuff foraged from walks would also be nice, especially twigs & hawthorn berries.

Lovely wreath! also delighted to hear that the candle has turned up - oddly I did very nearly ask whether it might be in the lift - wish I'd said something now!

Glad you found candle, and are enjoying using it. The wreath looks brilliant, very inspiring to have a go at something like that. I’ve also been inspired to start 2023 sock knitting now too. Hopefully I will have a pair for some of my favourite friends and family, as have a good stash of sock wool to use. I love this community of inspiring likeminded folk 👍4
