Thanks, @QueenJess for sharing your successes and encouraging me to find out more about what should work in our garden.
@Crazycatlady2 our dishwasher is very economical with water and fuel used, this was the most important criteria when we were buying it. It might be worth a look at running costs as it might (with luck) be cheaper than washing up.Fashion on a ration 2025 0/66 coupons spent

I dont have a diswasher and also hate seeing dirty dishes hanging around but have cut the washing up to twice a day and try to only use half a bowl of hot water for the smaller load.

Interesting and inspiring discussions on gas=elec usage and bills.
I'm also with 🐙 and I've had my usual email notification that dd is due soon - it's the same amount as currently even though I've had the dreaded letter setting out proposed future costs. It's a good idea to save up an amount each month during the summer months.I'm really impressed by the reduction in your usage last month Mrs F. Inspiring me to try little adjustments to what we do. I've been switching off my ancient computer monitor during the working day when I'm not using it, unplugging the sky box at night unless I've got something I'm recording, trying to boil less water when I'm making a cuppa and then adding fresh water straight away so it can benefit from a little residual heat.However, as I mentioned on Sunaddict's diary my OH is a terror for opening the fridge and staring into it - almost transfixed. This week he had the fridge door and freezer door both open - staring first into one then the other. I politely asked what he was looking for - apparently he wasn't sure 🤦♀️5 -
I’m trying to train mine to use the kettle efficiently. He fills It up, boils it whist wandering off to do something else, comes back, boils it again 😱 and that’s when I’m at home. I do try explaining patiently but to no avail 🤷♀️

@Baileys_Babe I thought I replied but don’t know where it went 😂
