Glad that the tooth is gone, sorry about the angry donkey though. Years ago when I had 4 wisdom teeth extracted I was told that the mouth is one of the quickest parts of the body to heal. It wasn't much consolation at the time but hopefully it's true for you.5

Hope it all gets better soon. At least you know the pain will get better this time.

Hope you had a good nights sleep and are feeling much better today. Have a lovely weekend, love FS x4

Thanks all. Decent night's sleep. Still feel very much like I've been massively hoofed in the jaw, but it is supposed to lessen over 5 - 6 days. Mr F kindly brought me breakfast in bed so I could have a gentle start to the day. I'm toggled up in lots of layers now & heading for the greenhouse, where I intend to have a good sort out ready for seed sowing later this month. I think I can shop everything required from home, which is a Good Thing, as have spent a lot of money recently & still haven't assessed our savings pots ready for setting sensible goals at our Money Summit meeting (needs to happen before we get too much further into the year).
Right, off into the drizzle I go!

Thanks.
Useful greenhouse session. Feel like mucky Mabel now so am shortly heading for a bath & to wash dead leaf crumbs out of my hair.
Tasks achieved: Cut the last of the winter lettuce, composted cold-damaged micro-leaf salad, pruned grapevine, top-dressed & fed with free liquid food from the worm composter. Took the opportunity to top that up with kitchen & greenhouse food scraps & a new moisture mat (free - cut from thick cardboard - no need to buy these). Top-dressed & watered autumn-sown parsley plants ready for planting out once herb bed has been cleared & dug over. Added 3 violas (gifted by friend) to big patio pot for a bit of free colour. Filled up bird feeders then called it a day for jobs.
My jaw is understandably very sore. I tried some lesser painkillers first thing as I'm a bit worried about the sheer amount of codiene I've taken since the devil tooth kicked off between Christmas & New Year. I shall have to take some this afternoon though as its hurting to talk..... admittedly a nice peaceful day for Mr F! The awful nerve pain travelled into other teeth & my dentist said it'll be a few days before that all settles.
I have started reading a crime novel I found in our local charity bookshop for 99p, so I intend to do nothing more taxing for the rest of today than read that & sort more sock yarn stash for the pair I'm currently knitting plus at least one other pair. Very little cooking required tonight - we've defrosted some of the bolognese I batch-cooked the other day, as it won't require much biting.
I do appreciate all your kind wishes. I'm off for a soak now & painkiller top-up before I start feeling sorry for myself. Am very grateful we have a good NHS dentist. There are way too many people struggling to find one & I even saw a news story about a woman who during Lockdown had, had to resort to performing self-extractions with pliers!!
Enjoy your Saturdays, all.

Did your dentist tell you to rinse with warm salt water 24 hours afterwards? Ours usually does and so does my sister's dentist in Ireland although sister forgot last time until I reminded her. I hope you feel better soon.4

@CRANKY40 - Yes, 3 times a day starting this lunchtime, for 5 days. Dentist did not find the abcess he was expecting, but says all the signs point to an infection having been present so the saltwater rinses are even more important. Am so sore, despite yet more codiene, so am taking it easy, knitting & watching 'Indiana Jones' with Mr F & the cats. Like all things, it will pass.

Evening
Glad the source of the problem has been eliminated and now you can recover. Hopefully Harrison Ford and snuggles with cats will help
