I can't wait to get out in the garden this morning. It looks so bright & sunny. I'm just finishing my 2nd coffee, then I'm off outside to progress a few jobs. We can't go out anywhere - & quite rightly atm - so it would be a shame to waste a bright day if I can do something with it.

We have decided to tackle safety precautions as though everybody has the virus except us.....
With regard to posting Easter cards and presents, your cards and presents are sitting in a post box along with others that may have been posted, and even licked, by people with the virus. They will then be collected by a postman with inadequate PPE, they will then be sorted in a sorting office where social distancing is impossible to follow due to cramped working conditions, they will then be posted by a postman with inadequate PPE who has touched numerous other letters, parcels, letter boxes and gates and who has no means to wash his hands during his round due to lack of hand sanitiser.
Not a criticism and I am sure the recipients will handle with care but spare a thought for our postmen who are endangering their lives and should be delivering urgent items only.
I love your diary and read every day, unfortunately not gardening weather here today, too cold and windy
Enjoy your gardening

Some postmen have gone on strike due to being expected to deliver junk mail, some of the companies whose junk mail it is have asked Royal Mail to cancel their contract as some of these businesses are not even open during the crisis but Royal Mail refuse due to greed. Postmen will soon be needed to deliver test kits and other medical equipment and even if the work load does drop they will not be paid off they will be furloughed. And safer too5
