Thanks, you lovely people. Still no throwing up, which I'm taking as a good sign. Have spent all day under a blanket with a hot water bottle & have eaten only 2 crispbreads & a satsuma since breakfast. If I'm not throwing up by tomorrow morning, I don't think it can be Noro. I did feel very sick this morning, which is why I feared the worse. Low-level headache all day & no energy. Mr F is going to make me some toast & scrambled egg to see how I feel after that. I hope I feel better tomorrow. I've had strict orders to stay on the sofa by the fire & do nothing more energetic than read my book tonight, so am defo resting. A nice little pile of cards in the post today, which was cheery as I felt a bit low with feeling grotty. And the Christmas tree is looking lovely with its little white lights. I can't believe how much it's grown since Mum gave it to us a couple of years ago. The final Christmas gift item also arrived in the post this morning, so once I've wrapped it, that will be presents absolutely done, except just for some fudge, which I'll make nearer the time.

I hope you feel better soon, not being sick is definitely as good sign. I often feel a bit low when I'm ill because I get frustrated at not being able to do all my normal activities. If you're not feeling too grotty it's best to try and enjoy relaxing under a blanket with a good book, after all how often do you get to do that? I'm glad Mr F is looking after you. Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally

Yes, you are right, HHoD, I am always busy, so I do get low if I have to sit around resting when I'm poorly. I did get to read my book & watch a couple of ghost stories though.

No puking! And feeling better than yesterday. I don't know what that was all about... probably a little bit of a minor bug, but it hasn't progressed into anything more ominous & I've had a good night's sleep - I'm back on valerarian tablets to try & improve the early waking - so far so good.
I'm not going to go too mad with activities today, but I do have three target tasks: 1) Marzipan the Christmas cake 2) Wrap three remaining presents 3) Do my mid-month budget check-in, as my next full big budget day won't be until 29th Dec.
So I will hie me away to the kitchen to find the marzipan & un-foil my cake.
Wishing everyone a pleasant morning,

So good to hear that you're feeling better then you were.
I always loved watching my gran put marzipan on the cake.... (so long as there was enough left for me at the end to roll into little shapes and ultimately eat!)Sticking with the "Small things" thread to keep up us on the straight and narrow.
