Place I worked at paid £25 a month for being a first aider or a fire warden/marshall. However being both at did not get both payments.0

I was both first aider and fire marshall in my last job.
I didn't get any extra pay.
Did it matter to me? Not at all.0 -
I didn't realise when I signed up for both last April but I've just had a £125 first aider pay for the year on my February wage slip.
(I only did it for the day out of the office and something to put on my CV, as well as it being useful.)0 -
As people above mentioned. I have heard people get approx. £20 a month on average in various companies I have been at for being fire marshall / first aider.365 Day 1p challenge - £371.49 / 667.95
Emergency Fund £1000 / £1000 ( will enlarge once debts are cleared)
DFW - £TBC0 -
You do get something out of it: You get to do first aid instead of ordinary work. You also get to go on courses while everyone else is stuck at work. If that is not what you want, step down and let someone who wants the role have it.0

No. With the exception if it creates hardship - for instance you can't leave site for lunch break.0

I get paid extra for being a first aider and fire warden.Forty and fabulous, well that's what my cards say....0

In many companies, you can't do both as they can have competing responsibilities. In an emergency, a first-aider's role is to get out and be ready to treat any injuries, whilst the fire warden/marshal may still be inside checking that the building is empty.0

The only bonus I'll get once I've done fire marshall training is setting off the fire alarms for drills from time to time.
So I get ready to evacuate (coat, scarf, hat, trip to loo as required) and everyone else has to just leave. :-)Signature removed for peace of mind0
