Planning a hen do abroad in Benidorm!

Hi everyone,

I hope I'm posting in the right place?

My best friend is getting married and I am responsibile for organising her hen do and she wants to do a weekend abroad in mid-May.

I have found lots of different websites but I'm struggling to know whether I've found myself a bargain or not?! Want to keep the costs as low as possible but also don't want it to be completely tacky!

Doesn't have to be a luxury villa or anything like that as will be out most of the weekend but would like a nice, modern, clean place to rest our heads!

Also, lots of different options for watersports activities but don't know if I'm getting a good deal on any of them?

Feel like I'm going in blind to this as never been to Benidorm before or planned a hen do!

Time is ticking on and the girls really want everything booked ASAP so ANY help at all would be really appreciated!

Thank you in advance!

PP

I don't know much about hen parties but having read several horror stories on here about group bookings, my only advice would be to make sure that everyone involved understands the financial implications if some pull out.
Tall, dark & handsome. Well two out of three ain't bad.

I think you may find an added problem that many hotels are now very funny about taking bookings for large hen/stag groups.

Have you a good independent travel agent near by which you could use?
  • My advice would be don't do it.

If you do don't pay any money out until you have at least half the cost from everyone, no money, no excuse, then not going,

As advised many Benidorm hotels won't take bookings from large single sex groups, so if you are going to do it then research, research, research before you pay any money out.
If you go down to the woods today you better not go alone.

Decide which hotel the Hen wants to stay at.
Decide which flights the Hen wants to fly on.

Advise this and the dates to the girls and then let them pair off for sharing and booking the flight and hotel themselves.

Much easier than group bookings etc.

This is absolutely 100% sound advice.

Also, if you are the lead name on a group booking ensure you have all the passport details in writing of everyone in the party beforehand.

So, if somebody goofs up by providing wrong or incomplete information you are in the clear.

I went along on a relative's stag do a few years ago and the organiser was left chasing around trying to get the required details from a few defaulters who were holding up the boarding passes being allocated.

Good idea to produce a list of key admin points and distribute them to all by email - communication is everything in these scenarios.
